Spider Web Obsidian
A mint green spider web pattern stretches across an inky black oval shaped cabochon. Obsidian is a type of volcanic glass that has a variety of intriguing naturally occurring patterns.
This handmade Spider Web Obsidian cabochon is ideal for wire wrapping or for a traditional bezel setting. It has a flat back, a domed top, and a beveled girdle (sides). The dimensions are aprox. 1 and 1/4 inches long by 5/8 of and inch wide and 1/4 inch thick. Thanks to the Tidewater Gem and Mineral Society workshops for teaching me how to cut cabochons. This has become one of my favorite hobbies.
