Three Rivers Gem & Jewelry (2005) Portersville,PA (North of Pittsburgh) Cutting cabochons since 2000 To see some of my work please see my pics section. I have a website under construction at the moment that will be listed at a later date. http://www.myspace.com/jbrody1391/ Hand cut custom designer and collector cabochons from top quality rough semi-precious and precious gemstones. I focus on high quality, rare, unusual, colorful rough for my cabochons. I also supply faceted stones some of which I facet myself but is more in the learning phase working with less expensive rough at this time. I use the diamond pacific 6 wheel "Genie" 80 grit- 14,000 grit, then I finish the cabs with the selected fine grit polish (types like cerium oxide - "holy cow") dependant on the elements in the stone for best polish which rates from 50,000- 100,000 grit. I can custom cut any shape or type of rough you wish to have made into cabochons or freeforms for wirewrapping/metalsmithing. Your wish is the "genies" command. Anything is possible. ROUGH AVAILABLE!! Old stock Australian Opals incredible quality, Honduras Matrix Opal,Andamooka Matrix Opals, AAA+ Labradorite in purples, pinks, dark fire orange, yellow, light blue, darkest midnight blue you have ever seen, all with FULL Face flash. I have worked with feldspars for about 8 years now and have learned how to center the flash dead on for pendants/jewelry so that the viewer in front of you sees the flash with EASE. Other labradorites on the market arn't cut with the correct orientation and you have to stand way to the left or right to see the flash. Not with my Labradorite! #1 quality Orbicular Ocean Jasper, some with translucent background and colored transparent orbs where you can see the nucleus of the sphere uncut, rarest form of Ocean Jasper available. I have the usual bullseyes in colorful high quality patterns. Rhodochrosite in a few different grades, Fine Jaspers..royal imperial jasper, imperial jasper, orbicular morrisonite, abstract morrisonite, picture jaspers, Collector plume and dendritic agates from several locations around the world, mexican agates..(laguna,agua nueva, moctezuma), Amethyst Lace Agate, opalized sycamore petrified wood from CA collecting site now closed. Too many to name. Please ask.. If you have rough in any form that you want cut into cabochons, I can cut/polish it to your needs. If you have tourmalines you wish to have sliced and polished, I can do it all. I am also into trading cabochons for colored crystals, tourmalines, aqua, kunzite, moldavite.. I am just looking for a few pieces to make myself and a few friends some pendants. Looking to make connections with jewelry designers and build a trustful relationship to work off each other, colaborate, etc. Josh Brody 724-674-4114 leave message and I will get back to you. I live by McConnells Mills State Park in 200,000 year old dugout glacier valley (no reception) PEACE!
